Mould has grown all over the upper.

By wiping it off with a cleaner or similar product,

You can remove some of the mould from the surface, but

It may not be possible to remove mould from the base of the leather, or

It is necessary to carry out a mould-removal clean.

On this occasion, we carried out mould removal and repaired the soles.

Here is the finished result.

To remove mould from the upper, use a specialised detergent or solvent

We have thoroughly cleaned the entire shoe.

As the upper will be dry after cleaning,

We’ve finished it off with a thorough oiling.

By using a solvent specifically designed for mould removal and prevention at that stage,

You can remove any mould that has already grown whilst preventing it from returning.

At the owner’s request, we have carried out a full resole on this occasion.

The thickness of the heel has also been perfectly restored.

The finish has been achieved without compromising the original feel.

On this occasion, we carried out mould removal and a full resole.

Once the upper and sole are clean,

It looks as though you’ll be able to wear them with a fresh outlook.
