[Clarks] Wallabee GTX Vibram #S1100 Cleaning
21 October 2026
Today, we’re going to look at repairs to Clarks shoes.
The model is the ‘Wallaby’.

This pair of shoes is characterised by its universal design and the soft, enveloping comfort it provides for your feet.
This model features a Gore-Tex lining, so you can wear it with confidence even on rainy days.
They’re such a practical pair that you’ll probably find yourself wearing them more and more often.

You brought these in because you were concerned about ‘wear on the soles’ and ‘stains on the uppers’.
First of all, let’s check the status of each one.
The sole features Vibram #S1100.
With use, the shoes have become unevenly worn, and the sole pattern has become quite worn down.

The corners of the toes have been worn down, giving them a rounded shape.

And then the heel.
As you can see, this is the area where the wear is most noticeable.

Next, let’s take a look at the upper.
There are fine stains and marks visible throughout.

The toes and sides have become discoloured due to dirt caused by rubbing.

The area around the strap also shows noticeable discolouration, perhaps because it is frequently touched by the hands whilst wearing it.

And the heel cup was something the customer was particularly concerned about on this occasion.
As you can see, this one is also quite discoloured.

Taking the above into account, we have carried out a sole replacement and cleaned the upper on this occasion.
Here is the finished result.

The sole was replaced with a Vibram #S1100, the same as the original.

Both the toe and heel have regained their thickness, the edges are now well defined, and the shoes have taken on a crisp, smart appearance.

On the upper part, the fine stains and dullness have faded, and the overall brightness has been restored.

Even the scuff marks that had been bothering me have been restored to the point where they are now barely noticeable.

And then there was the grime on the heel cup, which proved the most stubborn.
There’s still a slight mark left, but this one has also come out quite clean.

The sole has regained its thickness and whiteness, and the upper has been restored to its former condition,
I think you’ve had a good refresh overall, haven’t you?

It looks as though you’ll continue to find them comfortable to wear.
At Union Works, we offer repair services not only for shoes but also for bags and leather accessories.

Thank you for reading to the end.
