The item we’re repairing this time is this pair of wedge sandals; they’ve clearly been worn quite a lot.

If you look closely, you can see the strap is starting to tear (sob)

The sole’s got a hole in it and is starting to come away, isn’t it…

As they are, they’re unwearable, so we’ll carry out a thorough repair.

Firstly, regarding the strap repair: I’ve wrapped a piece of leather of a similar colour around the part that was starting to tear.

As you can see from the front view,

You can see where the leather has been joined, but once you slip your foot in, it’s hidden beneath the overlapping strap, so it looks much more natural.

And as for the sole repairs, we replaced the entire sole and heel.

Both the sole and the edge have been finished beautifully and smoothly, haven’t they? ♪

As the rubber is slightly thicker, I think it’s more durable than the original.

Finally, give it a polish with some dark tea cream and it’s done☆

It’s been transformed and looks absolutely lovely – it looks set to come in handy again this summer☆
