These are a pair of shoes with a stylish vibe.

The sole was reinforced with a half-rubber sole when the shoes were new.

It’s still quite thick.

The top lift still has plenty of depth, and

Both ends are worn down by about half.

Given that it was originally a rather thin top lift,

Judging by the number of times they’ve been worn, they don’t look as though they’ve been worn very much.

At first glance, sole repairs are

It doesn’t seem to be necessary just yet, though…

It was this top lift that had been a cause for concern.

It wasn’t that they were worried about wear and tear, but rather

She was concerned about the clattering sound she made when walking.

This time, I’m making the top lift from a different material

We have replaced it.

The materials used for the repair were

A material known as ‘imitation crêpe’.

It’s a type of rubber, but…

Extremely flexible and

It is a rubber material of reasonable strength.

Shoes with a high degree of flexibility, such as driving shoes,

To ensure that the original flexibility is not compromised when replacing the sole

We often use this material when replacing soles.

As it is softer than the original rubber,

It looks as though the durability might suffer somewhat, but

As it is a fairly durable and thick material,

I think you’ll be able to wear them with confidence.

As well as these shoes, there are also

We have received two pairs of brand-new shoes at the same time, and

The front half of the sole is reinforced with a half-rubber sole,

The top lifts are each the same as before

With imitation crepe heels

We have already replaced it.

The clacking sound when walking

Even replacing it whilst it’s still brand new

That might be a good idea.
