Here’s a guide to repairing scratches.

今回は トレーディングポストのパンチドキャップトゥのキズです。

左足のつま先、引っかけたのかエグれキズが出来ています。

また、全体的に乾燥しておりワックスのムラもあるので、クレンジングをしてからの補修がオススメです。

固まっているクリームや、鏡面磨きのワックスを落としていきます。

ツーフェイスローションとワックスクリーナーを使用しました。

右足がクレンジング済み、左はノータッチ

結構左右で差が出ますね！革もスッキリしてサラサラしてます。

ここからはキズ補修の工程

エグれている部分はキズが深いので、革専用のパテ埋め剤を使い整えます。

パテが乾燥したあとはヤスリがけをし、荒い番手から細かい番手まで、なるべく分けてヤスリます。かけ過ぎると芯材が出てくるので注意が必要です。

The scratches haven’t completely disappeared, but I think they’re much less noticeable now.

 

なるべく革の質感を変えずに、違和感なく仕上がったのではないでしょうか。

ここからワックスを使い、つま先から踵にかけて流れるように鏡面磨きをします。

出来上がりはこんな感じ

 

色味が鮮やかに蘇りましたね！

Please be careful not to scrub too hard with the cleaner, as this may cause the coloured finish to peel off.

We realise that accidental damage can be upsetting, but we will repair it whilst matching the texture of the leather as closely as possible.
