This summer feels as though it’s come to an abrupt end; it’s been nothing but rain of late, and I can’t even get my washing done properly—it’s really getting me down.
The intense heat in the first half of August was tough going, but as someone who loves summer, I can’t help but feel a bit sad (sob)
But! Once it starts to get cooler, I’ll be able to wear my boots.
There are some die-hards who wear boots even in the height of summer, but I’m a boot-lover with no backbone (lol)
Personally, the first things that make me feel like autumn are boots, followed by autumn delicacies such as Pacific saury☆
So, with that in mind, what I’d like to introduce today is a repair by Whites★
First up is the Smoke Jumper, which looks absolutely stunning with its Vibram #100 sole and double midsole★
They’ve really developed a lovely patina, haven’t they?♪ It’s no exaggeration to call them the ultimate work boots!
The sole hasn’t worn down much, but the heel has worn down quite a bit.
Just replacing the heel will do this time☆
Here it is after repair
I deliberately didn’t apply any colour to the upper; instead, I polished it with colourless cream, which has left it with a lovely, well-worn look☆
Top piece replacement (Vibram No. 100 heel): from ¥4,500 (excluding tax)
Next up is the semi-dress!
It’s a bit milder than the Smoke Jumper, but it’s made in exactly the same way and is absolutely top-notch☆
They’re a bit on the understated side, but that’s White’s for you! They really stand out compared to your run-of-the-mill boots★
The sole is a Vibram #700; normally, Whites shoes with a #700 sole come with a heel cap.
For this one too, just replacing the heel will do just fine☆
Now that it’s been repaired, it’s in perfect condition (lol)
When the edges are neatly finished, it gives the whole thing a tidier look☆

Wearing boots that make a statement on your feet is a staple of autumn and winter fashion, isn’t it? ☆
Whites really stand out from the crowd!!
I reckon these boots are quite a challenge, but I think they’re well worth a go☆
