Differences

15 February 2014

We’ve had another heavy snowfall, just like last week – I hope you all managed to get home safely.

Given the terrible weather, I don’t think today is the sort of day to go out, but I’ll have a go at working on my blog anyway.

Well, well, we had some new women’s items arrive last week, didn’t we?

They’re women’s low-heeled shoes, but they’re not just smaller—there are actually a few subtle differences.

In this article, I’d like to take a look at those differences.

These are men’s and women’s low-top shoes, but at first glance they look the same.

If you take a closer look...

The medallion design is different, isn’t it!

If I move a little further...

The eyelets. If you look closely, you’ll see that the eyelets are different sizes.

It’s actually quite well-balanced, isn’t it?

And then, the sole.

The women’s version has a single sole. A double sole would be too thick, after all.

Although they are single-sole shoes, Trickers have a thicker sole, giving them a firm, substantial feel underfoot.

The finish on the welt is also finer than on the men’s version, isn’t it?

Of course, the women’s range also features a crisp, firm finish!

Moving on, if we compare them with women’s boots…

The design of the medallion on the boots is the same as the men’s, isn’t it?

The eyelets are also larger on the boots.

Although both styles have single soles, the low-top shoes appear to have a cuter, more feminine design.

The width for women’s is the slim-fit ‘4’ (men’s is ‘5’)

This is a last designed for women’s shoes.

Although the differences were subtle, I think it’s quite interesting to compare them.

Why not have a look at it with your wife or girlfriend?

But...

As for talking about shoes, I suppose that’ll come after we’ve spotted the ‘differences’—like our neighbour’s hairstyle or nails… (laughs)
