[Martin Faizey] Bridle Leather Studded Belt<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a special-order model from UNION WORKS, commissioned from British leather craftsman Martin Faizey and based on a belt that Nakagawa used to favour over 30 years ago.<\/p>\n

The material used is thick English bridle leather, approximately 4 mm thick.<\/p>\n

Studs in a variety of shapes, reminiscent of traditional British horse tack decoration.<\/p>\n

Both the studs and the buckles are made from solid brass.<\/p>\n

Although the leather feels quite firm when you first start using it, it will soften with use and gradually develop a sheen.<\/p>\n

Brass also takes on a dull sheen the more it is used, gradually developing a subdued patina.<\/p>\n

One of the attractions is being able to appreciate the way both the leather and the metal age over time.<\/p>\n
