Personally, I think Birkenstock sandals are one of the prime examples of this.<\/p>\n

This brand, founded in Germany, is best known for the exceptional comfort of its ergonomically designed cork-based footbeds and its original Birken sole.<\/p>\n

Among Birkenstock\u2019s range, this \u2018BOSTON\u2019 model<\/p>\n

I\u2019m a big fan of them myself, and before I know it, I find myself wearing them almost every day.<\/p>\n

One reason for this may be that, as the upper covers right down to the fingertips, they do not look too casual even when worn barefoot, and can be worn for long periods throughout the year.<\/p>\n

On the toe side, there doesn\u2019t appear to be much wear on the sole, but<\/p>\n

The heel area is heavily worn.<\/p>\n

The original Birkenstock sole, which is about 1 cm thick, has worn away, and the footbed is now starting to show signs of wear.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve worn them a bit too much, haven\u2019t I\u2026<\/p>\n

Looking at the sole as a whole, it is still a good thickness throughout, except for the heel.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So, on this occasion, we carried out repairs to the heel area, including the footbed.<\/p>\n

Here is the finished result.<\/p>\n

We carried out the repair using the \u2018Birken Heel Attach\u2019 method, which involves using a Birken sole identical to the original to fill in the worn areas.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As you can see, it is possible to attach it using plain fabric, but,<\/p>\n

If you wish to recreate the overall feel as closely as possible\u2014including the texture and surface details\u2014we recommend the \u2018Birkenheels Attach\u2019.<\/p>\n

What do you think?<\/p>\n

I think the finished result looks natural even when viewed from a distance.<\/p>\n

As for wear and tear on the footbed, we have attached a cork insert, taking the original material into account.<\/p>\n

After reinforcing the footbed with cork, attach it using the original Birkenstock sole.<\/p>\n

This repair has been carried out to a high standard, faithfully reproducing the original.<\/p>\n

*Please note that, depending on their condition, footbeds may not be repairable.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although this time it was only a partial repair, we can, of course, carry out a full sole replacement as well.<\/p>\n
