Reject Trickers are currently on sale at our Shinjuku branch.<\/p>\n

This is our first purchase since our trip to the UK in 2019, so it\u2019s been a while since we last received a delivery.<\/p>\n

Although the selection is limited, it focuses exclusively on items from the popular Country series.<\/p>\n

I intend to introduce this in a series of instalments.<\/p>\n

I think I\u2019ll start by taking the tried-and-tested approach.<\/p>\n

These are classic brogues.<\/p>\n

When you think of Tricker\u2019s, the first thing that springs to mind is the Sea Shade.<\/p>\n

This atmosphere is truly one of a kind. (Or so I like to think, at least.)<\/p>\n

The sole is the popular Dainite sole.<\/p>\n

Naturally, it features the classic double-sole design.<\/p>\n

The model name is BOURTON, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

It seems the definition of the model name changes every now and then.<\/p>\n

We were most familiar with the Sea Shade in Keswick, whilst the others were in Burton, but,<\/p>\n

It seems that, for the past few years or so, even at Sea Shade, the term \u2018KESWICK\u2019 has come to refer exclusively to the Command Sole + Width 6 model.<\/p>\n

It seems it has been decided that everything else will be referred to as \u2018BOURTON\u2019.<\/p>\n

Next up, a pair of black calfskin brogues.<\/p>\n

Although it tends to get overshadowed by colours like maroon and acorn, black is, all things considered, a rather handy colour.<\/p>\n

I suppose this is the stage where the stitching is being pulled in; the edges of the medallion and the welt have come apart.<\/p>\n

The size is 5h.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s quite a rare size.<\/p>\n

Next up is Marron Antique.<\/p>\n

I think it\u2019s the perfect colour for enjoying the ageing process.<\/p>\n

I think it\u2019s a good sole for wearing in all sorts of situations.<\/p>\n

Firstly, regarding the welt (the part around the outer edge of the shoe to which the sole is stitched),<\/p>\n

The part that forms a wall-like structure adjoining the upper section has a round, plump shape.<\/p>\n

There are two types of \u2018Storm Welt\u2019, and whilst this particular type is not the one most commonly used,<\/p>\n

This particular item utilises a component of this shape.<\/p>\n

(Please compare this with the previous and subsequent examples.)<\/p>\n

Apparently there is a definition of how to distinguish between them, but whether this is a mistake or simply a matter of whim,<\/p>\n

Occasionally, items from Storm Welt may be included in the mix.<\/p>\n

Incidentally, the first pair of boots I ever bought were also this welted style.<\/p>\n

This is another classic from BOURTON.<\/p>\n

There is a slight crack visible on the medallion.<\/p>\n

Also, can you see the difference in the welt that was mentioned earlier?<\/p>\n

This model features a leather sole.<\/p>\n

Leather soles can be fitted with either half-rubber or steel tips, depending on your preference.<\/p>\n

It takes its shape well, and I believe the balance between its moderate firmness and its excellent flexibility is something unique to leather.<\/p>\n
