I want it

I want it

25 October 2013

Tricker’s, of course, as well as Whites and Guidi

I’ve worn all sorts of boots, right down to a pair of Hunter wellies.

They’re all boots I bought because I liked them, so I’m quite attached to them, but

Something’s not quite right…

The boots worn by the adults I look up to are even more...

It has a sleek look.

Those boots were not the sort with countless scuffs that looked like badges of honour,

Nor is it some clunky thing that makes your legs look several times bigger than they actually are.

Understated decoration and

Classic-style boots without any zips or similar fastenings.

Schneider’s paddock boots.

These are truly worthy of being called ”boots for grown-ups”1 pairThat’s it☆

A tight-fitting shaft (tube) that reveals the curve of the ankle

As only the toe section is unlined, when the laces are tightened,

It fits the ankle perfectly.

When I tried them on,

Press firmly upwards from the Achilles tendon to the calf

They have a unique feel that naturally makes you stand up straight.

This is the pair of shoes you’ll be ”longing for” as the weather gets colder.

…I’d really like one

I wonder if I should go and buy it on the sly…
